She did interior design, merchandising and my favorite, Window Design. She would do these cool window displays for the stores of her clients. I loved working with her on these.
But as I graduated from college and went into the real world, I gave it my best shot by trying to have a career in the design industry. Then some where down the line I ended up going in a different direction. I am not complaining. In fact my job has me traveling all over the country and I get to see all sorts of different place and businesses. And I always silently stop to admire window displays. So... I've decided to share the ones I like. My first one will be one in my home town of Washington D.C. (Did I just really call DC my home town? Were no longer in California toto.) I liked it so much it was the window that made me think, I should start a blog about this. HERE it is!!!
As you can see its a halloween window display at, of all places, H&M in the downtown Metro area.
It was fun and creative but a little creepy too. I think it was the faceless mannequins dressed up. A great scene for a horror movie. The merchandiser alone in the store late at night creating her displays, when a creepy deranged man slowly creeps out of his hiding place to sneak up behind her and...Well you get the picture.
I hope you enjoy my new blog and the creativity that comes through it. I will have to take better pictures though.
